My Work
As a storyteller, I had the opportunity to travel to Qatar with BBC Sport to capture the emotions and energy of the players and fans during the 2022 World Cup, conveying the excitement and drama of each match and the significance of the tournament as a whole. My efforts helped to showcase the beauty of football and its ability to bring people together from around the world in a shared passion for the sport.
As a co-producer on the review piece, which aired before the World Cup Final, I had the flexibility to focus on various aspects of the World Cup, and my personal interest was in highlighting the football and how amazing it was during this tournament.
It was a challenging but rewarding responsibility, and my efforts in telling the story of the review piece of the World Cup helped to provide a deeper appreciation for the beauty and significance of the sport, and the role it plays in bringing people together from around the world.
A sensitive yet empowering story that showcases Emily Campbell's journey to success. I was able to turn a short sit-down media day interview into a powerful docu-style piece.
Steven Gerrard's first match as a manager against Liverpool at Anfield was a captivating narrative that engaged football fans. This was an archive heavy piece that was built around a quote from a press conference.
This piece was created during the Tokyo Olympics on the BBC, where we introduced 3x3 basketball to our audience for the first time, by also providing them with a new and exciting viewing experience.
I was able to make such a significant impact in just one year at BBC Sport where I won my Sports Journalists' Association Award in 2019.
Developing my role as a Broadcast Assistant on the Sports News team shows my dedication and willingness to take initiative. My achievement is a testament to my hard work, skills, and ability to adapt to new challenges in such a short space of time.
